Your Guide: A Companion Who Gets It

Grief arrives without warning. It changes your world in an instant, leaving you to navigate emotions, responsibilities, and a reality you never asked for.

There’s no map. No timeline. No “right” way.

After the sudden death of my husband, Drew, I learned firsthand that grief lives not only in the mind, but in the body. While talk therapy helped me make sense of my loss, I continued to struggle with panic attacks, anxiety, insomnia, and the physical toll of grief.

It was through the integration of mind–body practices, nervous system support, mindfulness, and coaching tools that I slowly began to feel more grounded and able to cope with daily life. These approaches didn’t take my grief away, but they helped me ride the waves and me feel safer in my body, more resourced in my emotions, and more connected to who I was becoming after loss.

Today, it is my mission to offer this same holistic, compassionate support to others.

What is Grief Coaching?

Across cultures and throughout history, grief has been held in community through ritual, storytelling, and shared presence. The lives of those we’ve lost were honoured, and the grief of those left behind was met with care and compassion.

In today’s fast-paced world, many of us are expected to grieve quietly, quickly, and privately, often while continuing to function as if nothing has changed. This can make the natural process of grief feel lonely, confusing, and as if something is wrong with us.

Grief coaching offers a space to honour both your grief and the life of your loved one, supporting a natural, human process that was never meant to be carried alone.

What to expect

A holistic approach that meets you where you are:

Alongside compassionate grief coaching, we may draw on additional practices to help you regulate your nervous system, deepen embodied awareness, and support self-understanding and self-compassion. These practices are always offered in ways that feel supportive and relevant for you, and may include:

  • Somatic work & nervous system regulation – Gentle, body-based tools to process grief, anxiety, and overwhelm in the body.

Mindfulness, guided reflection, & journaling – Practices to explore your emotions, clarify your experience, and cultivate self-compassion.

  • Grief education & coaching tools – Guidance for navigating stress, sleep, self-care, and day-to-day life while living with grief.

  • Gentle movement, grief yoga, & breathwork (optional) – Techniques to release tension and process emotions in ways words alone can’t reach.

Some sessions may be more conversational, others more somatic (body-based), and most often will include a blend of both (always in response to what you need at the time).
